"After a Break"

So sorry about the lack of updates these past days. As much fun it is working with tight finance deadlines during year end, it can be super exhausting. Last week after all the hard work I took a break from everything.

Here's a quickie! An outfit post from a weekend well spent playing in the snow. Though Stockholm is freezing numb to step outside, with woolen socks, ears tucked into scarves and double lining gloves being lifesavers, yet it has been very cozy past few weeks with thick layers of snow and sub-zeros temps bestowing an opportunity to indulge in hot drinks and restore my baking routines.

So, stay tuned for the some cozy snaps and baking recipes in the coming weeks!

Have a great Weekend!

Christmas season is here in full swing so I spent last Sunday strolling around in the city, absorbing Christmassy atmosphere, sniffing the scrumptious donuts smell in the air, looking at the shops decorated in red, gold, colors sparkling like diamonds. The lit up fancy reindeer structures and Christmas trees are standing tall in every nook and corner of Stockholm.

This is the time when I love to munch brända mandlar (burnt almonds covered with sugar in vanilla, sesame, cinnamon) while walking down the streets of the city center. Although the streets sides are covered with thick layer of snow and the temperature has fallen down to -11 degree but the town center was packed with people. No snow can't stop those who want to paint the town in the season of joy. On my way back home I bought some Lucekatte - Saffron buns and we had it with some warm Glögg and nuts.

I believe you will see snow and more snow in my future posts. I wore this outfit few days ago. Here I paired up grey sweatshirt with a plaid skirt. As you might already know I love to pair up sporty and girly. Adding white and silver necklace seems like a wise decision, it injects life to the whole look instantaneously.

Tip - A grey sweatshirt pairs up very well with all colors, with
pants and skirts thus I would recommend it as a must have for every wardrobe.

Animal Print wins my heart finally!

Like Sequins and Studs, Animal Print is big this winter. I was not a big fan of animal prints until this autumn, when I identified if styled right it can be the most precious piece of your wardrobe and i
t makes you look hands-down chic and classy. I do believe it is one of the tricky trends wherein one wrong move can make you look down at heel.

The styling secret for animal prints is to "Keep it Simple"

Be it animal print sweater, shoes, trousers, handbags, coat, the trick is to pair it up with solid colors like black and white. Avoid clashing prints and if you feel too wild in an overall animal printed ensemble, tone it down with a single colored cardigan and knee high black boots.

I want to invest in leopard print ankle boots and if I am lucky a coat as well. It has to be classy and does not make me look like a rug. Remember one wrong move..!

If you have a fashionista within you, go for the daring print and make some heads turn :)
